I'm sure many similar giggle stories will litter the pages of this blog. Here be the first!
Currently, I've got 3 80s and two toons I'm leveling-- a shaman and a druid. Resto is main spec for both the sham and druid, with casting dps off specs. Mostly, I do random dungeons for xp. And sometimes prey upon my friends, getting them to run me now and again, in lieu of waiting in queue when the time is overly long.
Today I did a few randoms on my druid. I'm a bit bored with healing on the shammy, it's so much like healadin, it's just not all that fun for me anymore, but it gets me queued faster, generally. However, I digress.
So I queued up on the pre-tree druid and landed a dungeon with a pally tank, a war, mage and huntard. Speaking of hunters, I will stray a bit. I can say that I used to find it somewhat insulting when I read the term 'huntard', my main is a hunter, and I'm far from a tard. But, I can really see the links there with some of these guys. Playing a hunter is easy enough. However, playing it well does require some skill, or at least, experience. Back to my funny-haha story.
So we get in, I buff everyone up, as does the paladin. He throws a wis on me and then quickly replaces it with sanc. Wth? lol Before every pull he casts Hand of Freedom on himself. I asked why once, but no response ensued. I love playing my druid. Druid healing is ez mode with a half-decent party, particularly now with Innervate. And, best of all, I can do massive dps after I throw a HoT on the tank (and perhaps on any melee dps). This held true with this group, despite my having sanc and the tank casting HoF on himself so much. I actually ended up 3rd for dmg, and was close to second. Not an isolated indecent. But it's fun, and I really don't care that I do more dmg than my party members; makes the run go that much faster.
The hunter at one point took a wrong turn and landed himself in a group of mobs. Died as I was with the rest of the party. Eventually he disconnected. Or purposely went offline, not sure which. He was on the tank and warrior's server, and I think possibly in their guild, yet, they voted to kick him so I was inclined to vote myself, just to keep moving along.
